synopsis
Sasha is Claudine Doury's daughter, and this book is a restrained chronicle of a seemingly peaceful adolescence. However, these images captured in the family home and in the surrounding countryside relate the doubts and difficulties of this period of life, seen through the eyes of a mother: the importance of self-image, the relationship with friends and sisters (and brothers), the story of a long rite of passage during which a metamorphosis takes place from a small child to a nascent adult.
Claudine Doury takes us on this path with great gentleness and an obvious empathy (for her daughter, how could it be otherwise?).
The photographs are accompanied by two texts by Christian Caujolle and Melanie McWhorter.
