synopsis
Nearly a thousand kilometers (939 km to be precise) separate the village of Eureka in Nevada from the city of Eureka in California. In the spring of 2016, Jean-Christophe Béchet travelled between these two Eureka, from Nevada to California, taking a few side roads. The country was in the middle of an election campaign. He was thus confronted with this America that lives far from New York and Silicon Valley. That of small deserted towns, closed shops, "dinners" with immutable menus.

about Jean-Christophe Béchet
Born in 1964 in Marseille, Jean-Christophe Béchet has lived and worked in Paris since 1990.
Mixing black and white and colour, analogue and digital, 24x 36 and medium format, polaroids and photographic "accidents", Jean-Christophe Béchet looks for the "right tool" for each project, the one that will allow him to create a relevant dialogue between an interpretation of reality and a photographic material.
