about Pierre Faure
Pierre Faure was born in 1972 in Nice and works throughout France. He studied economics. He has been a member of Studio Hans Lucas since 2013.
He addresses the social issue by carrying out immersion work within a Gypsy community in Île-de-France (2011-2012). In 2013 and 2014, he became interested in the lives of very precarious people hosted in emergency accommodation centers and tried to capture in this daily life the figures of a wounded humanity (“Les Gisants”, 2013, “Le Boat”, 2014). In parallel with this work, since 2010 he has continued a series on urban trees, questioning the place of plants in an urban environment.
Since 2015 he has been documenting peripheral France, traveling throughout the country, he devotes a year, a year and a half to each region. He also carries out residencies (Le Carré d’art, PETR du Beauvaisis, Cri des Lumières, etc.).
